Local sources in Takhar reported that Taliban intelligence had arrested two brothers of Zia Khosravi, the former director of internal security of the Takhar police headquarters.
According to sources, Haroon and Baba Jan, Zia Khosravi’s brothers, were arrested from their home by Taliban intelligence on Sunday. Taliban forces also destroyed the former government officer’s house in search of “weapons”.
This is despite the fact that after the Taliban came to power, the arrest of the families of the previous government’s security forces has been reported several times under various pretexts.
