DAYKUNDI – Local sources in Daikundi have confirmed that eight Afghan workers have lost their lives following an explosion at a coal mine in Tajikistan.
According to the sources, the incident occurred at around 1:30 PM on Friday, May 19, in the Aini district of Tajikistan’s Sughd province.
The cause of the explosion was attributed to a buildup of gas inside the mine.
