Fourth Round of Iran-US Talks End in Muscat; Tehran: Talks Were Difficult but Useful

The fourth round of talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America ended today (Sunday) in Muscat, the capital of Oman.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghai described the talks as “difficult but useful” and said: “These talks were useful for better understanding each other’s positions and finding reasonable and realistic solutions to resolve the disputed issues.”

According to Baghai, the time and place of the next round of talks will be announced by Oman, as the coordinator of this process.

During this round, Steve Whittaker, the US Special Representative for Iran, discussed Iran’s nuclear program and the sanctions imposed on the country with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
