Local sources in Panjshir province say that a number of Taliban soldiers have beaten the officers of the group’s Amr-e-Maruf and Nahi-e-Munkar after a verbal argument.
According to the sources, the incident took place on Friday, May 10, near the river and the central stadium in Panjshir.
According to the information provided, the Taliban’s special brigade forces, who are stationed in the stadium area, were warned by Amr-e-Maruf officers to avoid swimming without shirts while swimming in the river; an action that was called “immoral” and “sinful” by the officers.
The sources add that after a brief argument, the military forces emerged from the water and beat the Amr-e-Maruf officers with fists, kicks, and rifle butts.
It is said that after the clash, the white coats of the officers remained at the scene and a number of them were transferred to medical centers.
Local Taliban officials in Panjshir have not yet reacted to this matter.
