The Taliban’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has announced that there will be a four-day public holiday across the country to mark the arrival of Eid.
According to the ministry’s announcement, the holiday will begin on Saturday, 2025 June 07, and will continue until Tuesday.
Official government activities will resume on Wednesday next week.
It is worth noting that the Taliban have declared Saturday as the start of Eid this year;
This is while Saudi Arabia has declared Friday as Eid this week, and the Eid calendar in Afghanistan is one day different from Saudi Arabia.
