Suspected assassination of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Tehran; Official details yet to be confirmed

Amidst the unprecedented escalation of tensions between Iran and Israel, reports of missile strikes, military operations and a suspected assassination have been published.

According to some sources, former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been the target of an assassination attempt inside Tehran, but the veracity of this news has not yet been confirmed.

At the same time, Hebrew media reported that Iran fired two ballistic missiles at Dimona. The Iranian news network also reported the start of a new wave of Operation “True Promise 3” against Israeli positions. Local sources reported the sound of heavy explosions in western Tehran and air defense activity in the east of the capital.

On the other hand, the Israeli “Kan” network claimed that dozens of Israeli fighter jets have launched a large-scale operation in central Iran. There has also been a report of an attack on the Isfahan refinery area.

In the Persian Gulf region, a video attributed to the tanker “Adaline” has also been released after colliding with the tanker “Front Eagle” near the Strait of Hormuz.

In response to these developments, Pakistan’s defense minister told Al Jazeera that Iran has not requested military assistance and does not see the situation as critical at the moment, but if the situation escalates, Islamabad will respond appropriately.

The Axios website also claimed that Benjamin Netanyahu believes Donald Trump may enter the war to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Developments are moving at a rapid pace and official sources have not yet responded to some of the claims.
