Three people were killed and two others arrested in a bloody incident in Banu Andarab district of Baghlan province.
Local sources told the media that the clashes broke out after a dispute over land ownership between a Taliban member named Rasool and a local resident named Ghulam Rasool in Ab Darreh area.
During the clash, a Taliban affiliate shot dead Ghulam Rasool and his son. After the incident, another son of Ghulam Rasool took up arms and shot and killed the Taliban’s uncle in retaliation.
According to reports, both remaining men, Ghulam Rasool’s son and Taliban member Rasool, have been arrested by the group’s forces.
The incident has raised concerns about escalating local tensions, social instability and violence caused by individual clashes in Taliban-controlled areas.
