Washington: Russia stands on the side of evil.
The US State Department has responded to reports that Russia has recognized the Taliban, calling the move Moscow’s alignment with a “rogue terrorist group.”
A State Department spokesperson confirmed Washington’s awareness of the reports on Tuesday, July 7, saying, “It is not surprising that Russia continues to cooperate with rogue actors.”
The Taliban remains on the US list of “Specially Designated Global Terrorist Groups,” the agency said, and this classification clearly reflects the group’s nature.
Russia is the first country to officially recognize the Taliban regime; A move that has had wide-ranging international repercussions and has heightened concerns about legitimizing a group accused of widespread human rights abuses
