According to local sources, Shadab Raghi, the commander of the 5th security district of Faizabad, has been arrested on charges of “adultery” with a young girl.
Raghi tried to flee the scene after the news was widely circulated on social media, but was arrested by Taliban intelligence. There are no details about the identity of the victim.
This is another example of a chain of moral scandals among Taliban members; cases that usually end without punishment or serious follow-up. Several similar cases, including the release of a video of the former Taliban head’s immorality at Balkh University, were met with complete silence from the group.
