Worrying increase in suicides in Khost.

Sources from the Khost Civil Hospital say that in the last two weeks alone, 43 suicides have been registered in the province.

According to these sources, most of the victims committed suicide due to economic pressures, unemployment and psychological problems. A number of them were saved by the intervention of doctors, but many others have ended their lives.

In addition to being unable to control this crisis, the Taliban have banned the publication of news about suicides and even holding public funerals.

The increase in suicides, addiction and child kidnapping in recent months shows that the Taliban not only has no specific solution to social problems, but is also content with silencing the voices of victims with repressive policies.
