Increase in family murders

Increase in family murders; Herat is the scene of a new crime.

Local sources in Herat say that on Sunday night (August 24), a man in the city’s eighth district stabbed his wife, mother and 11-year-old daughter to death.

According to the sources, the man entered the house in a state of intoxication and first killed his wife, then his mother and daughter, and then fled the scene.

Local Taliban officials have not yet reacted to the incident.

Family murders and similar violence have increased in various provinces of the country in recent months. In the past two days alone, three more murders have been reported from Helmand and Kandahar provinces.

The repetition of such incidents indicates the spread of the social crisis and the weakness of the government in preventing violence.
