Taliban in Samangan force people to buy weapons.

Local sources in the “Upper Souf Valley” of Samangan province say that the Taliban have once again asked the residents of this district to provide them with weapons and military ammunition.

According to these sources, Taliban members have emphasized that those who do not have weapons should sell their land or house and use the money to purchase weapons.

According to a list that has reached the media, the Taliban have requested dozens of residents of the Upper Souf Valley for various types of weapons and military equipment, including Kalashnikovs, Dereznovs, Pikas, rockets, rifles, night vision goggles, and radios. This action has created a wave of concern and pressure on the local people.

In this list, at least one rifle, and in some cases up to 14 or even 20 rifles, have been demanded from each person.

Local residents say the Taliban have made such requests several times in recent months, posing serious challenges to people’s daily lives.
