Sources: Taliban kill two civilians in Ghor province.
Local sources in Ghor say that Taliban forces have once again started killing civilians.
According to them, on Saturday, September 6, in the village of “Sur” in the Tiyawara district, Taliban members attacked three local residents who had gone to the mountains to collect firewood. Two people were killed and another was seriously injured in the incident.
Sources have identified the victims as “Yousef” and “Ghulam Rabbani,” who were cousins, and the injured person is named “Omid.”
The sources say that the perpetrators of the attack have been identified as Ahmad, Ramadan, and Hayatullah; Ahmad is the father of Ramadan and Hayatullah, who is currently in Taliban custody. The main reason for the attack is not yet clear.
The Taliban have so far remained silent on the matter, but Ghor residents say that the killing of defenseless people by the group’s forces has become a routine.
In recent weeks alone, there have been numerous reports of the Taliban killing, executing and hanging civilians in various provinces, raising deep concerns about the escalation of violence and the lack of justice.
