A traffic accident in Baghlan leaves 16 dead and injured.
At least nine people were killed and seven others were injured following a traffic accident in Kotal Pulfi, Khost and Farang districts of Baghlan province.
According to local sources, the victims include two women and seven men, while the injured in the incident include four children and three men. The bodies and injured have been transferred to the Nahrin district hospital.
Local Taliban officials in Baghlan confirmed the incident, citing the driver’s carelessness and road conditions.
According to reports, the Flancouch, which was traveling from Farang district to Pul-e-Khumri city, veered off the road and overturned.
Traffic accidents in Afghanistan have increased, especially in recent weeks. In the past few days alone, an accident in Badakhshan claimed the lives of 11 people and in Ghazni six people were killed.
At the same time, citizens accuse the Taliban of failing to manage traffic and taking preventive measures to prevent such deadly accidents.
