Local sources: A man in Nangarhar killed his brother and nephew.
Local sources in Nangarhar say that following a family dispute over land, a man killed his brother and nephew.
The incident took place on Wednesday, September 10, in the village of Ghaljian in Rodat district, and the suspect fled the scene after committing the murder.
According to these sources, the victims had been summoned to court before the incident to hear their land dispute. But before the legal process could begin, the family feud escalated and resulted in the murder of two family members.
Such incidents have increased in recent months in various provinces of the country. Just a month ago, two people were killed in Nuristan province over a land dispute.
Citizens say the lack of an effective mechanism to resolve civil disputes and the weak rule of law have paved the way for the spread of bloody violence over land.
