Taliban intelligence office in Takhar targeted by rocket attack.
Local sources in Takhar province say that the Taliban intelligence office in Khwaja Bahauddin district was targeted by rocket attack on the evening of Sunday, September 14.
According to sources, a rocket hit the office at around 7 pm, causing damage to the building.
Reports indicate that no Taliban members were injured in the attack, but the group’s intelligence office in the district center was damaged. So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the incident, and the Taliban have not officially responded to the incident.
Analysts say that the recent attack is part of a growing wave of operations against the Taliban in northern Afghanistan.
In recent months, Takhar, Faryab, Badakhshan and Kunduz provinces have witnessed an increase in armed and rocket attacks, targeting most Taliban positions, especially their military and intelligence centers.
This trend indicates the rise of discontent and scattered resistance in the north of the country.
