Mysterious murder of social activist in Gardez; body found with signs of torture.
Local sources in Paktia province say that a young man named Abdul Matin, a social activist from Kariz village, Sayed Karam district, was killed mysteriously after being tortured.
According to sources, he left his house on the evening of Monday, September 16, after receiving a phone call, and the next morning his body with severe signs of torture on his body was found in front of a ruined building near his house in Gardez city.
Abdul Mateen’s family said he had no personal enmity or problem with any individual or group, and the motive for the murder is unclear to them.
So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the incident, and no official investigation has been launched.
The incident comes as mysterious murders and kidnappings have increased in recent days in Paktia and several other provinces, raising serious concerns among citizens.
People say that the continuation of this situation could further undermine social security.
