New Taliban threat; suicide bombers again target civilians.

In an audio message broadcast on the group’s national television on Saturday, Tajmir Jawad, the Taliban’s deputy director general of intelligence, said the Taliban are ready to resume suicide attacks to preserve their system if necessary.

He emphasized that this system was achieved at the cost of the blood of victims and they will make any sacrifice to protect it.

Experts say that Taliban suicide attacks in the past have mostly targeted civilians, especially Hazara areas and their educational and religious centers.

These attacks have caused heavy casualties on innocent people and have targeted foreign forces less.

Critics believe that the Taliban are showing with these threats that their power is more directed at local tribes and communities than at foreign forces. There are concerns that the resumption of suicide attacks will once again put civilians at serious risk.
