Resistance Front: The commander of the Takhar Rapid Reaction Unit was killed along with three others in central Baghlan.
The Afghan National Resistance Front (ANRF) claimed that the commander of the Taliban’s Rapid Response Unit for Takhar province was killed along with three of his bodyguards in the Shark area of central Baghlan district.
The group also said that three Taliban weapons fell into the hands of the resistance forces in the attack and that the Front of Resistance forces were not injured.
The new incident comes as attacks by anti-Taliban fronts have increased dramatically in recent weeks and months.
The National Resistance Front and other anti-Taliban groups have disrupted the relative calm of the Taliban after taking control of the country by carrying out guerrilla operations, ambushes and targeted attacks, and it is claimed that areas that were previously under full Taliban control are now witnessing more fighting and the Taliban are facing challenges in providing security.
However, the Taliban have not yet responded.
