Taliban Public Health Director in Takhar Beats Two Employees in a Week.
Local sources in Takhar say that Ahmad Wali Ahmadzai, the Taliban Public Health Director in the province, has severely beaten two administrative employees in a week.
A few days ago, he had beaten Niaz, the director of medical paramedics in the Takhar Public Health Department, for disobeying an illegal order, and on Sunday (September 28, 2025), he subjected another employee to the same fate.
In different provinces of Afghanistan, the Taliban use various excuses to commit violence against defenseless citizens and do not pay the slightest attention to the civil rights of women and men.
Numerous examples of these attacks have been reported in recent months, showing that the Taliban’s governance structure relies on tools of repression and force instead of providing justice.
Sources add that Ahmadzai is only a 12th grade graduate and cannot even read and write properly. He has the direct support of Mawlawi Khadim Darqadi, a Taliban commander.
Under his leadership, the quality of services at Takhar Hospital has declined sharply, the number of deaths has increased, and many patients are forced to go to Kunduz Hospital.
Last year, a Taliban commander in Baghlan gouged out the eye of a driver, an incident that shows that violence against civilians has become a common practice among the Taliban.
