Taliban arrest Ghulam Sakhi Navid, former Faryab lawmaker, and transfer him to an unknown location.
The Taliban arrested Ghulam Sakhi Navid, a former Faryab provincial council lawmaker, in Garziwan district on Thursday and transferred him to an unknown location.
Local sources say that the reason for his arrest was a dispute over ownership of a piece of land; land that the Taliban consider to be government property and want to seize.
This is while Ghulam Sakhi Navid was arrested last year on a similar charge and released again after enduring torture.
Reports show that the Taliban have forced many families to migrate by seizing land from local people in a number of provinces of the country, including Bamyan, Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, and Faryab.
