Fresh clash between Taliban and Pakistani troops in Nari; one death reported.
Local sources in Kunar province say that a Taliban member named Zarin Khan was killed in a clash with Pakistani troops in Nari district.
The incident took place last night in the Doklam Barikot region, and according to sources, the clashes began on Thursday morning and continued sporadically until this morning (Friday, October 3, 2025).
Reports indicate that the eastern borders of Afghanistan, especially Kunar and Nangarhar provinces, have witnessed frequent tensions between the Taliban and Pakistani forces in recent months.
These clashes usually occur when each side tries to gain more control over parts of the border line known as the Durand Line.
According to local sources, such clashes have caused human casualties on both sides in the past and, in addition to the loss of life, have caused great concern for the residents of the border areas.
Locals say that the exchange of fire between the Taliban and Pakistani soldiers disrupts their daily lives and occasionally causes the displacement of families living along the border.
