A young singer in Kabul has committed suicide by hanging himself.
Local sources in Kabul say that Asher Ehsas, a young singer and former contestant on the Afghan Star program, committed suicide by hanging himself on Thursday (October 9, 2025) at his home in the Khair Khana area.
According to his relatives, Asher Ehsas had been suffering from depression in recent years and had been living alone.
Asher Ehsas was originally from Bakhshi Khel village in Rakhe district of Panjshir province and rose to fame after appearing on the Afghan Star television program on Tolo TV, where he advanced to the top six.
Local authorities have not yet commented on the details of the incident.
