Afghan national flag prevented the display of the Taliban flag at the embassy.
During the visit of Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to Delhi, sources reported an argument at the Afghan embassy over the installation of the Taliban flag.
According to sources, local embassy staff prevented the hoisting of the large Taliban flag in the Balkh Hall of the embassy, and the Afghan national tricolor flag remained atop the building.
During this visit, contrary to diplomatic custom, the Taliban delegation did not use embassy vehicles and guards, and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs provided them with its own vehicle and guards.
This action, in addition to the dispute over the flag, further increased the tense atmosphere of the Taliban meeting in Delhi.
Local sources also said that after the end of the press conference, Amir Khan Muttaqi and his entourage changed their route when they saw the Afghan national flag at the entrance to the building, so that reporters would not take pictures of them next to it.
