Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said Pakistani militants launched another attack on the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province this morning.
He wrote on Twitter that more than 12 Afghan civilians were killed and more than 100 wounded in the attacks.
According to Mujahid, Taliban forces responded to the attacks with counter-operations, killing a large number of Pakistani soldiers.
He added that a number of Pakistani military posts and bases had been captured by Taliban militants and a significant amount of Pakistani weapons and tanks had also fallen into their hands.
The Taliban spokesman said most of Pakistan’s military facilities in the area had been destroyed and the fighting was now in the hands of the Taliban.
