Rahela Dostum: The Uzbek language is part of the cultural and historical identity of our nation.
Rahela Dostum, the head of the Dostum Foundation and the daughter of Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, has issued a message on the occasion of the National Day of the Uzbek Language, congratulating all Turkic peoples of Afghanistan and the world on this day.
In her message, she said that the Uzbek language is an important part of the cultural and historical identity of the Afghan nation that has been in the hearts of generations and has always conveyed the message of friendship and wisdom.
Rahela Dostum added that in recent years, the growth of Uzbek education and media in the country is a sign of cultural awakening, but challenges such as the lack of educational resources, the lack of a clear language policy, and the inattention of official institutions, especially under the current government, still persist.
She emphasized that the National Day of the Uzbek Language is a reminder of everyone’s shared responsibility to preserve, expand, and strengthen the position of this language in various national and cultural arenas.
Rahela Dostum concluded by expressing hope that ethnic and linguistic prejudice would be eliminated and replaced by unity, empathy, and collective participation in the country.
