Former commander General Dawood Dawood was killed in Takhar.
Local sources in Takhar province say Taliban militants have shot dead a former government military commander.
The incident took place on Saturday evening, 25 October 2025, in Cheshmeh Garmak area of Farkhar district of Takhar province.
According to sources, the deceased was identified as Commander Kamin Khan, a former soldier and bodyguard of General Dawood Dawood. He was shot dead by Taliban militants on his way home after the evening prayer.
Local sources said that Kamin Khan was beaten and threatened with death by local Taliban affiliates in the district a few days ago.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
