Shooting of a Panjshir resident and pressure on civil activists in Badakhshan.
Reports from Panjshir province indicate that a person named Shoaib, son of Mehrabuddin and a resident of Tawakh district, was shot dead in the Panjshir provincial headquarters three days after being arrested by the Taliban.
Local sources say that the body of the young man has not yet been handed over to his family and that local elders are trying to receive the body from the Taliban.
It was also reported from Badakhshan province that on Tuesday, Taliban intelligence forces arrested Hojatullah Hamid Ahmadi, a civil activist in the province, for critical posts on his Facebook page about the performance of the former Taliban governor.
Ahmadi had addressed issues related to the identity, history, and social issues of Badakhshan in his posts.
These events occur in a situation where reports have recently been published of serious moral violations and sexual abuse by some Taliban members in Badakhshan.
Activists and local residents have expressed concern about increasing restrictions, pressure on critics, and concerns about the human rights situation in these areas.
