Fayzabad Buzkashi Competition Concludes with Winners Announced
The Buzkashi competitions held in Fayzabad, Badakhshan, organized by the National Buzkashi Federation in coordination with the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, have concluded.
The four-day event began with the participation of around 200 athletes and ended on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the presence of federation representatives and spectators.
At the end of the competition, Pahlawan Gulbuddin secured first place, Pahlawan Ghulam Khudai took second, and Pahlawan Gulbuddin Tashqarghani achieved third place. These athletes demonstrated remarkable skill and effort to claim the top positions.
Officials and organizers stated that the purpose of these competitions was to promote the sport of Buzkashi, encourage youth participation in sports, and foster traditional and local games.
They expressed hope that such events would contribute to the growth and development of local sports across the country.
