Pakistan Defense Minister: The War Has Reached Islamabad.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan’s Defense Minister, reacted to today’s suicide bombing near the Supreme Courts in Islamabad, stating that the country is in a state of war. He emphasized that the conflict is no longer limited to the border areas with Afghanistan or Balochistan but has now reached the nation’s capital.

According to him, today’s attack is a “wake-up call” for all of Pakistan.

The Defense Minister directly referred to Kabul, saying that negotiations with the Taliban government will be futile and that Afghanistan has the ability to prevent terrorist activities inside Pakistan.

He added that bringing the war to Islamabad sends a clear message from the Taliban. Meanwhile, the Taliban condemned today’s explosion and expressed condolences to the people and government of Pakistan.

Political and military tensions between Kabul and Islamabad have intensified in recent weeks, particularly following border closures and skirmishes.

Analysts say the Defense Minister’s recent statements could mark a new phase of strained relations between the two countries.
