The Afghanistan Freedom Front Claims Responsibility for Attack on Taliban in Baharak
The Freedom Front has announced that its forces carried out a rocket attack on a Taliban prison in Baharak district of Badakhshan on Monday evening, 17 November 2025. According to the group, the attack took place around 8 p.m., during which several rockets were fired at the Taliban detention facility.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front’s statement says that following consecutive rocket strikes, clashes erupted between its fighters and Taliban members, resulting in the death of one Taliban fighter and injuries to three others. The group emphasized that none of its fighters were harmed during the operation.
Taliban officials have not yet commented on the incident. Earlier, local sources had also reported an attack on the Taliban prison in Baharak. The Freedom Front has previously claimed responsibility for several attacks on Taliban positions across various provinces.
