Father and Son Assaulted in Badakhshan by Individuals Linked to Qari Fasihuddin.
Local sources in Badakhshan report that individuals affiliated with Qari Fasihuddin, the Taliban’s Chief of Army Staff, violently assaulted a father and son named Nik Mohammad and Taj Mohammad in the Jurm district.
The incident occurred on Thursday, and both victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition. According to the sources, the attack was triggered when the victims’ vehicle overtook the car of three Taliban members on the Jurm road. The attackers — brothers identified as Rozatullah, Rahimullah, and Kefayatullah — then assaulted the two men in Kataib village of the district.
Residents say these Taliban members have repeatedly harassed locals and operate without accountability. According to them, Qari Fasihuddin supports their actions, fueling concerns about increasing abuse of power in Badakhshan.
