Sources: Taliban Kill a Daikundi Resident in Mazar-i-Sharif.
Local sources report that Ali Khan Akbari was shot and killed by Taliban-affiliated individuals in the Aliabad neighborhood of Mazar-i-Sharif. According to these sources, the incident occurred on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in front of his residence, and no clear reason for the killing has been provided so far.
According to the information, Ali Khan Akbari was a native of Daikundi province and had recently returned to Afghanistan with his family after being expelled from Iran following years of migration. Sources also noted that three years ago, several of his relatives, including women and children, were killed by the Taliban in the Siwak-Shibar area of Daikundi.
This incident comes amid growing concerns among Afghan citizens over the increasing arrests and killings of civilians and former security personnel by the Taliban. In recent developments, the Taliban have arrested a TikTok activist, and local sources in Panjshir report that four former security personnel were also detained.
