Local sources in Panjshir province report that two relatively powerful explosions occurred at a central Taliban base in Dara district.

According to these sources, the incident took place on Monday evening, 8 December 2025, at around 7:40 p.m. at the residence of Abdul Malik in the Manjanesto village of the Abdullah Khil area in Dara district—an area used by the Taliban as a central command post.

Sources add that the second explosion occurred while Taliban fighters were collecting the dead and wounded from the first blast. Although two additional sources have confirmed hearing the explosions, the exact details of the incident and the number of casualties have not yet been officially clarified.

So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the explosions. The Taliban typically deny attacks on their bases and seek to prevent such incidents from becoming public through the media.
