Unidentified Drone Flights Intensify in Ghazni
Local sources in Ghazni province report that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were patrolling the skies over Ghazni city and nearby districts at relatively low altitudes last night. According to these sources, the flights began on Thursday evening, December 11, 2025, and continued for several hours.
Residents say that the low-altitude flights have raised fear and concern among the population. No official explanation has been provided regarding the nature or mission of the drones, and it remains unclear which country these UAVs entered Afghan airspace from.
Meanwhile, some sources suggest that the patrols may be aimed at monitoring the activities of TTP and Al-Qaeda groups. Reports indicate that the Taliban have established several settlements affiliated with these groups in Ghazni in recent years, one of which is located in Waghaz district.
