
Five Taliban Members Killed and Wounded in Kunduz – Front of Freedom.
The Afghan Front of Freedom has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Taliban recruitment center in Kunduz city.
According to the front’s statement, in the evening attack on Friday, December 12, 2025, two Taliban members were killed and three others wounded.
The statement also noted that Qari Ubaida, a senior Taliban commander, was among those killed. The front added that its forces suffered no casualties during the operation, though details regarding the method of the attack were not provided.
The Afghan Front of Freedom, composed of former Afghan government military personnel and led by General Yasin Zia, the former Chief of Staff of the Afghan Army, emphasizes increasing military pressure on the Taliban.
The Taliban have not yet responded to the attack, which comes amid a recent surge in anti-Taliban operations causing significant losses to the group.
