Fire Breaks Out in Mandawi Market, Kabul.
A large fire broke out early Sunday morning, December 21, 2025, at the “Mir Alam” shoe market located in the Mandawi area of Kabul.
Local sources say the fire began around 4:00 a.m. and spread across parts of the commercial complex. No confirmed information is yet available regarding casualties, but significant financial losses have been reported.
Witnesses say the intensity of the blaze caused it to spread rapidly inside shops, making firefighting efforts difficult. Taliban fire brigade units later arrived at the scene, and efforts to fully contain the fire are ongoing.
