Sources from inside the graduation ceremony report that Taliban morality enforcers threatened students at Herat University with firearms, keeping their fingers on the trigger.

Local sources add that during the graduation event at the Faculty of Medicine, the group forced approximately 50 students to remove their caps and, through their armed presence, took control of the entire hall.

The ceremony was attended by more than 2,000 guests during the 29th graduation session.

Witnesses and local sources emphasize that Taliban morality enforcers impose strict restrictions on youth, particularly female students, compelling them to comply with mandatory dress codes.

Armed intimidation and social pressure have disrupted the educational environment and caused deep concern among families and students.

Moreover, locals note that the Taliban have effectively deprived Afghan women of education, employment, and opportunities for a better life.

Restrictions, such as mandatory masks for female students and stopping women for not wearing the burqa, exemplify the Taliban’s repressive policies, which are neither rooted in Afghan culture nor grounded in Islamic law, and demonstrate the use of force and armed threats to exert control over society.
