Did Iran’s Intelligence Monitor U.S. Military Movements in the Region Before the Attack?
Informed sources say that before the attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran, the United States had withdrawn part of its military forces from some bases in the region and transferred them to hotels and guesthouses.
It is said that this measure was taken to reduce the vulnerability of military bases and to disperse forces in different locations.
However, according to the sources, Iran’s intelligence organizations had for a long time placed U.S. military movements in the region under strict surveillance and control.
The sources emphasize that Iranian intelligence agencies continuously monitored troop movements, changes in deployment locations, and U.S. military activities, and had also anticipated the possibility of such an attack.
According to these reports, Iran also had full information about the accommodation locations of U.S. forces in some hotels and guesthouses.
Sources say that for this reason the places where these forces were staying in some Gulf countries later became targets of attacks, and these strikes are regarded as directed at the United States’ military presence in the region.
