Strong Response from Tehran to Trump: “No Negotiations Are Underway.”

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Esmail Baghaei, in a firm and unprecedented tone, described any direct or indirect negotiations with the United States as “completely baseless” and stated that no channel of dialogue exists between Tehran and Washington.

This clear position comes at a time when some speculation had suggested the existence of behind-the-scenes diplomatic activities.

Baghaei further described the recent statements of Donald Trump as a “political game to deceive markets,” saying that these remarks are aimed solely at manipulating energy prices and buying time to advance military plans against Iran.

He emphasized that such positions not only fail to reduce tensions, but also deepen the existing mistrust.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran also, referring to efforts by some regional countries to mediate, stated: Iran has not initiated any conflict and will not do so, but any hostile action or aggression against the country’s territory and interests will be met with a “decisive, immediate, and extensive response.”

He stressed that the path to de-escalation passes through Washington, not Tehran.
