Taliban Judge in Nangarhar Accused of Killing Wife Over Second Marriage Dispute.
Local sources in Nangarhar say Mawlavi Bagh Wali, also known as Hizbullah Wahdani, a Taliban judge in Bati Kot District, allegedly killed his first wife after she opposed his decision to marry another woman.
According to sources, the incident took place inside the judge’s home, where the woman was killed by gunfire.
Sources claim the killing followed a family dispute over his planned second marriage.
The Taliban has not officially commented on the incident or announced any action against the accused.
The case has renewed criticism over reports of violence against women and the lack of independent mechanisms for addressing domestic violence in Afghanistan.
