A businessman is murdered in his house in Kandahar; the Taliban has not yet responded.
Local sources in Kandahar say that a businessman named Dost Mohammad was stabbed to death last night in the Aino Mina area of Kandahar city.
The incident took place at his private home in the first security zone, sources said. Relatives of the victim said Dost Mohammad was the owner of a paint company in Kandahar and the attackers were close friends of his.
The victim’s family stressed that they know the identities of the attackers, but no one has been arrested in connection with the case.
The sources added that local Taliban forces have begun preliminary investigations, but the Taliban security command in Kandahar has not yet made an official statement.
