A New Wave of Mysterious Killings; A Young Man Lost His Life in Takhar.
Local sources in Takhar province say a young man has been killed by unidentified armed individuals in the Khwaja Ghar district of the province. According to these sources, the victim was named Najibullah and was originally a resident of the village of Aqila Mamei in the same district.
Based on information from the sources, the incident occurred on Friday, 6 March 2026, in the Ghani Khil area of Khwaja Ghar district, and Najibullah lost his life after being shot.
It is said that the attackers fled the scene after carrying out the attack and so far the identity of the perpetrators and the motive behind the killing remain unknown.
In recent years, similar cases of mysterious killings have been reported in Takhar province and several other provinces of Afghanistan. In many of these cases, relatives of the victims accuse some Taliban members of involvement in these incidents; however, responsible authorities have not yet specifically reacted to this case.
At the same time, reports show that in recent months the number of mysterious killings in different parts of the country has increased.
