Afghan Embassy in Tajikistan: Taliban are not legitimate representatives of the Afghan people.

The Afghan embassy in Tajikistan has said that the Taliban have no national or international legitimacy and are only recognized as an extremist group and human rights violator.

The Moscow summit should not become a means of legitimizing the Taliban and competition among world powers, while millions of Afghans live in poverty, unemployment and humanitarian constraints, the statement said.

The embassy stressed that Afghanistan’s future must be based on the free will of the people, social justice and the rule of law, not through military imposition or political bargaining.

The organization called on the international community to listen to the voice of the Afghan people and refrain from engaging with the Taliban as an illegal structure.
