Afghanistan Freedom Front: Taliban Targeted in Kabul.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front has announced that it carried out an attack on Taliban positions in Kabul city.
According to a statement released by the group on Monday, (26 January 2026), its affiliated forces targeted a Taliban checkpoint last night in Kabul’s Police District 12.
The statement says the attack took place at around 7:00 p.m. local time near Pul-e-Shina Bridge.
As a result of the attack, two Taliban members were killed and two others were wounded.
The Freedom Front described the operation as “targeted” and emphasized that none of its forces were harmed.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
The Freedom Front also stated that its operations against the Taliban continue in Kabul and several other provinces.
Previously, the group had reported targeting Taliban intelligence members in Kabul, an attack it said killed two Taliban personnel.
