Afghanistan’s goal-scoring victory over Uzbekistan in the Asian U-17 Futsal Championship.
Afghanistan U-17 Futsal team started its first match in the Asian Youth Championships with a goalless victory.
The national team beat Uzbekistan 10-2 in Manama, Bahrain, on Saturday night, scoring three important points.
Afghanistan is in Group A with Bahrain, China and Uzbekistan and topped the table after the victory.
In Group B, Iran, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan will compete.
The national futsal team will play their second match against Bahrain on Saturday morning.
The match will start at 09:30 am Afghan time. Afghanistan’s third match will be played against China on Sunday, October 26, at 04:30 pm Kabul time.
All matches will be held at the Khalifa Sports City in Manama. The success of the first Afghanistan has raised hopes of advancing from the group stage.
