Afghanistan’s representative in Asia shines; Rohullah Mousavi becomes Muay Thai champion
Afghan athlete Rohullah Mousavi won the gold medal in the Asian Muay Thai Championship in the minus 60 kg weight category, winning the championship title of this tournament.
He won the final match on Wednesday (July 25) with a decisive victory over an opponent from Thailand. Mousavi had previously defeated opponents from the Philippines and Vietnam in these competitions.
Mousavi, who was the only Afghan representative in this discipline, has previously won several world silver and bronze medals.
Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai congratulated him on this victory and wished him success.
