Sources: Al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan are active with the support of Mexican drug cartels.
According to sources, several training camps affiliated with the Al-Qaeda network are active in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban and are financed by Mexican drug cartels.
These sources confirmed on Sunday, July 27, that at least several training centers for Al-Qaeda forces are active in different parts of Afghanistan. According to them, part of the costs of these camps are covered by large drug trafficking gangs in Mexico.
The sources also added that in addition to funding the training camps, these cartels have also cooperated in transferring trained jihadists to the United States through the Mexican border.
Based on the information provided, the link between Mexican criminal groups and jihadist networks in Afghanistan has been formed and strengthened on the basis of extensive drug trafficking structures.
Sources emphasize that the Taliban group not only benefits from this financial cooperation, but is also a key player in this illegal international project.
According to these sources, the dimensions of this cooperation go beyond the borders of Afghanistan and the United States and are considered a global security challenge.
This report is being published while several sources have previously reported on the Taliban’s close ties with terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda and warned of its consequences.
The Taliban has not yet reacted to this.
