Ambiguity Surrounds a Deadly Attack; 650 Reported Killed and Wounded.

The Taliban Ministry of Interior has announced that more than 400 people were killed and at least 250 others injured in last night’s bombardment, which the ministry claims was carried out by Pakistani fighter jets.

Taliban officials state that a drug rehabilitation camp was set ablaze during the attack, with all its facilities and equipment completely destroyed.

The incident has triggered a strong reaction from the Taliban, who have threatened Pakistan with “reciprocal retaliation.”

At the same time, the Taliban’s official narrative has faced a wave of doubt and questions. Some visual evidence and local reports suggest that the impact sites were at a considerable distance from the camp; even a guard appears to confirm this in a video.

It has also been reported that in the initial hours after the incident, the Taliban prevented journalists from covering other targeted locations, including security facilities, and restricted filming exclusively to inside the camp.

On the other side, Pakistani sources have described the targets as Taliban military bases and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) positions, rejecting claims that a medical facility was hit.

These sources have even suggested that the extensive fire at the camp may have resulted from an internal cause. As time passes, no independent or international body has confirmed the high casualty figures, and the incident has become one of the most controversial and ambiguous events in recent times.
