Sources from Kandahar say that unknown gunmen killed an Imam Mullah in the Zail Abad area of Khakriz district of the province on Thursday.
According to the source, the Imam Mullah, named Imam Shaghasi, was a 40-year-old man and the Imam of the Bermo mosque.
The Taliban security command in Kandahar confirmed the incident and said that the Imam Mullah was killed due to “personal enmity.”
This is the second case of the killing of a mosque imam Mullah in Khakriz, Kandahar in the last ten days.
Previously, on 17th of Ahal, a mosque imam Mullah was shot dead by unknown gunmen.
